We found out back on Halloween that I was pregnant :) that was exciting. It was planned, but for some reason after taking too many early tests (I hadn't gotten my period back since I stopped breastfeeding so I didn't have a day to go by) I was so unbelievably surprised to see that positive that the adrenaline made me feel nauseous! I just couldn't believe it actually happened when I hoped it would! I always have to tell John right away because I can't contain it, (last time I emailed him a picture of the test while he was at work) so I tried a little harder this time.
Since it was Halloween I was going to take the kids to his work later that day to trick or treat anyways so I surprisingly held it in all day until then. He came to help me get the kids out of the car and for the sake of it being Halloween, I gave him a bag of candy. On it I wrote a note that said, "If I'm going to get fat, SO ARE YOU!" At first he didn't really get it, probably because it was a last minute pinterest find or maybe because I was such a good secret keeper that day, but when he did get it he was really excited. I didn't know when I was due because I didn't have a last period to go by so I went and got an ultrasound a couple of weeks later and they told me I'm due July 4th! It's funny because we found out we were prego on a holiday, I'm due on a holiday, and my halfway mark is on another holiday (Valentine's day). I have a feeling this will be a fun baby! We are going to find out what the gender is on Friday the 13th (feb 13th) another fun day, so we are excited for that!

Another quick little story: After my ultrasound, the hospital called my doctors office to update them on how things went and my nurse was trying to call me to confirm that everything went well. Since the office recently joined with a clinic that had my old info from before I got married, they had my parents home phone in their system. She called that number and left a message saying that everything looked good on the ultrasound and to call her back. The nurse somehow figured out what she had done and called me apologizing profusely. I just laughed because it was funny and decided to call my mom and tell her the good news before she found out from the message. She told me they never use their home phone and she had to go through 13 messages before she got to that one. (of course! Haha!) but apparently my dad gets his messages typed straight across his computer screen as they come in and he saw it first hand so I'm glad I at least called my mom before he told her about the strange message he got!
I figured I would do hair until the baby was born, but sometime in December I got so burnt out that I finally decided to stop scheduling any new appts! I was booked until the middle of January and had to finish all the ones I had already scheduled so I just barely finished this last week. Now I'm only doing family. It was a long time coming and I just could never make the final decision to stop. It finally feels like the right time and even though it's a strange change, it's much needed for now and I'm so excited to be a full time mom with my soon to be 3 little loves!
The holiday season was fun this year. I tried hard to get Ty excited for Christmas with Christmas music and movies and an advent calendar to count down to Christmas with. It was the first year he could tell me what he wanted and he remembered me talking about Santa and he even knew that christmas was actually about Jesus. He probably didn't understand any of it but he definitely had more fun this year than last! I love holidays with kids.
Also my little stevie turned one and is walking everywhere! It's crazy. He is so quick already and climbs everywhere! Our first climber. He's good at freaking us out. Heart attacks waiting to happen! Both stevie and Ty are at the best stages. I love spending more time with them. We are just so blessed and loving life!
Yay! Fun post to read!
