This week we were lucky enough to go to St. George for a couple of days. It was amazing! Way too short.  I could have stayed for a couple of weeks (maybe 6 months?) easy. I did, however, come back relaxed and recharged with a way better attitude about life! So even though we only got 2 full days there I am so glad we went. Plus, it was the first family vacation we have ever taken with just our little family.

Here are the kiddos on the first of hopefully many back seat road trips. I remember when we were little we'd get all situated with our pillows and books. We'd read, sometimes fight a little, and sing to the radio or CD's (Shania twain, beach boys, n'ysnc. you know, the works) I was always in the back seat with Andrea or Sarah. Good times :)
Ty was all ready with his book, binky, blanket, and bottle. We were hoping he'd take a nap on the way there but he didn't.

He was pretty happy for a while but the poor kid had the sun in his face almost the whole trip there and back.

We were able to go on some walks, Stevie loved being outside! He hasn't had the chance to bask in the sunshine so that was nice

It was nice weather while we were there, thankfully! Mostly sunny. Sometimes a little windy, but it was the perfect breeze. We were able to swim and that was awesome! The sun was in their eyes while I was taking this picture so they wouldn't look up at me, I still thought it was cute :)

After we got back, John showered with Ty and then wrapped this little towel around his waist. He looked like a little man. I thought it was pretty cute:

(that belly button! such an outie)

On Monday night the resort had a rootbeer float social and showed off their biggest suite. It was insane. Pretty much as big as some peoples houses! Should have gotten pictures.

Eating their floats:

(awesome quality I know)

We caught this adorable picture. I never get to see him sleep anymore since he's always shut away in his room. I love sleeping babies!

Just hangin' out:

On the way home he still had the sun in his eyes, I looked back to see this:

Poor kid! Anyways we had an awesome time! Next time we will definitely be staying longer!

Im a little late with this post but Ty turned TWO this month!

We started off the day watching a super cute video from my nieces (Ava & Lila, and our new nephew Lincoln) and he LOVED it. He smiled  the whole time and then starting singing happy birthday when it was over. Throughout the day a couple of other people called and sang again and he thought it was so fun. I think it was his favorite part of the day.
I wanted to get an early start on the cake so it could cool down for me to frost later.  He didn't want to help me make it this time because he wanted to take a bath! So I let him get in and just made the cake anyways. We always got to lick our cake batter on our birthday so I took Ty the spatula so he could eat it in the bath. He loved it.
(I don't know how to post these videos so that they play the whole thing.. if anyone knows how please help me!)

I took the day off of doing hair so we could just hang out. During his nap I frosted the cake. Ive never tried to make a cool cake before so it wasn't that great. The frosting was so melty and weird but it was still a lot of fun and he loved it.

We had cake and ice cream with just our little family. He blew out the candles and was so excited he wanted to do it again. He blew them out 3 times with my cake and 2 times with the cute cake mary made him:

I bought him a couple of dollar toys just so he'd have something fun to open. Every time he opened one he would throw it across the table to John, he thought it was so funny:

We love our Ty buddy! He is learning so much so fast. He always makes us laugh & he is so close to talking in full sentences. He loves Lighting McQueen right now.  He has Lighting McQueen bedsheets, a T shirt, a hoodie, and a toy car. I think its fun he understands and has his first "obsession" (if you can call it that) But he is such a good little helper and a great older brother. I got this cute video of Ty kissing Stevie. The poor kid doesn't really know how to react but I thought it was pretty cute:

Happy Birthday Buddy!
